Meet Gary.
Here to help you feel at ease.
Hi, I’m Gary Anderson, a fully qualified DVSA-approved driving instructor. I specialise in automatic lessons, helping people feel calm, confident and in control behind the wheel.
I know that taking driving lessons can feel like a big step, especially if you are nervous or have had a difficult experience before. My lessons are friendly and relaxed, with clear explanations and no pressure to rush.
Everyone learns differently. I take time to understand what works for you, explain things in another way when it helps, and build each lesson around your confidence and progress.
Your lessons.
Your progress.
Clearly explained.
I use my own digital lesson system on an iPad to keep bookings, pupil records and progress together. With less paperwork to manage, I can concentrate on teaching — and share lesson feedback for you to revisit afterwards.
Enquire when it suits you
Select any Start your enquiry button on this website. The short form lets you tell me where you are, what you are looking for and when you are available. You can send it any time.
A simple, organised start
If I have a suitable space, I’ll invite you to complete a digital pupil registration form. Once I receive it, I can set up your pupil record and explain the arrangements before your first lesson.
Lessons signed and recorded digitally
Every lesson is recorded and signed by the pupil on my iPad. Block-booked hours, lessons used and remaining credit are recorded clearly in one place. Receipts can be provided when needed.
Feedback to revisit in your own time
I track progress across driving skills, and can share lesson reports, feedback and the next learning focus with you. Lesson reminders and email confirmations of booking changes help you stay informed.

Every skill. Every step.
27 driving skills · 8 groups · five progressive levels
Good progress at junctions. Next lesson we'll build confidence approaching busier roundabouts.
Real experiences.
Real confidence.
I'm really grateful for the lovely feedback I've received from pupils. If you're thinking about learning with me, have a look at what others have said about their experiences.
Read Gary’s Google reviews and replies ↗“Learning with Gary was the best decision I made. As a nervous driver, he was calm, encouraging and helped me feel confident behind the wheel.”
Had lessons with me?
I'd love your feedback.
Thank you for choosing to learn with me. If you have a moment, I'd really appreciate an honest review on Google. Your feedback means a lot and helps other learners know what to expect before they get behind the wheel.
Thanks, Gary
Easy to recognise.
Comfortable to learn in.
Gary’s automatic Nissan Juke offers a comfortable, adjustable driving position and a useful view of the road. The elevated seating and medium-sized cabin can help you settle in and get comfortable behind the wheel.
With its clearly displayed learner roof sign and markings, the car is easy for other road users to recognise as a learner-driving vehicle. It also has 360° parking cameras, including front and rear views, to support awareness when manoeuvring. Gary takes care to keep the car clean and well maintained.

90-minute lessons.
A balance that works.
My standard lessons last 90 minutes because I find this gives us a comfortable balance: enough time to practise properly, pause to talk through anything you find difficult and look at what to work on next.
It means we can take time to explain, revisit a skill in a different way and reflect on your progress, without making the lesson unnecessarily long.
- One-to-one automatic tuition
- Patient, structured lessons
- Progress tracked across 27 driving skills
- More time to practise and build confidence
- Time to review learning and plan your next step
Clear commitments.
No surprises.
Professional standards matter to me. My pupil documents cover lesson terms, privacy, safeguarding, complaints and what you can expect when learning with me. They have been prepared with the DVSA's published driving instructor Code of Practice in mind.
I want you to feel informed from the start. You're welcome to read through my documents before making an enquiry, so you know how lessons are arranged and where to find clear information whenever you need it.
